Dreamleague Major Analysis

This DPC season is more than 60% done, and did we just see the most exciting tournament of the year?

Four teams have mathematically clinched their spots at TI (Your 3 major winners — VP, Secret, and Vici Gaming + EG, the team that got 3rd, 3rd, and top 8)

The next two teams (Fnatic and PSG.LGD) seem like mortal locks to qualify for TI. Both teams have qualified for every major and never finished worse than top 8.

That’s six teams. Half of the TI field is locked up.

What happened at Dreamleague?

  • You had the resurgence of China. Three of the final four in the upper bracket were Chinese.
  • You had the team Aden and I picked to win the tournament finish in LAST place
  • And of course you had an epic lower bracket run from VP culminating in a slugfest five game grand final. Where to start?
